Includes time grouping, manual split/combine, photo review, and Android-confirmed trash. Car filtering is ON by default and clearly visible on the main screen. It requires multiple car/van photos and stronger inspection evidence; pending or unrelated groups do not qualify automatically. Choose All time groups only when you want to inspect every subject. The classifier can still make mistakes; always review. Compatibility testing on physical Android phones is ongoing.
Why Android may show an installation warning
This is a signed testing APK distributed outside Google Play. Android may call it an unknown or unverified app, ask you to allow installation from your browser, or recommend a Google Play Protect scan. A signature does not mean Google has reviewed or certified the app.
Let the built-in scanner check it and keep Play Protect enabled. Trip Photo Cleaner does not require a separate security app. If Android reports that the app is harmful or blocks it for a specific reason, stop and report the exact warning rather than bypassing it.

Updates appear inside the app
Version 0.3.0 checks for a published update when you open it. A newer compatible release shows an Update available banner with a Download button. You still approve installation in Android; updates are never silently installed.
If you already installed 0.1.0 or 0.2.0, download 0.3.0 here once to enable this feature. Install it over the existing app to keep settings and cached results; do not uninstall first. Publishing a new APK is required—changing source code alone cannot update an installed Android app.
Open, install, scan
- Tap Download Android app, then open the downloaded APK from your phone’s Downloads folder.
- Android may ask to allow installation from your browser or Files app. Allow this source for installation. Device protection or an organization policy may also restrict APK installation; follow your device’s instructions.
- Open Trip Photo Cleaner and grant photo access. Full access finds all local photos; selected access scans only the photos you allow.
- For a first test, open Settings and change Older than days to 0. Save settings, then scan. Defaults find car-related camera sessions with 16+ photos and no gap longer than 15 minutes. The summary and analysis status scroll away with the session list, leaving more room for browsing. Car analysis targets eligible sessions and may take time. Other subjects or pending groups are not automatically listed as car sessions.
- Open a session. Tap a photo to zoom, and use its checkbox to select or deselect. Tap Move to Trash, review the summary, then confirm separately in Android.
Removed from Camera. Kept in Trash.
The app moves selected photos into system Trash; it never empties Trash or permanently deletes them. Open your phone’s Gallery or Photos app and find Trash, Bin, or Recently deleted to inspect or restore them before the normal retention period expires. Names and retention periods vary by Android device. Storage may remain occupied while photos are in Trash.
Your photos stay on your phone
Photo analysis stays on your phone. The app reads only this project’s Cloudflare version file to check for updates; it sends no photos, filenames, scan results, or photo metadata. It requires no account and has no ads. This website only distributes the installation file. It has no photo upload form, database, or connection to other projects.
Cloudflare serves this page and download using its normal web delivery infrastructure. Android processes your photo library locally.
